SignalDesk Triage Rules

SignalDesk uses explicit priority definitions so urgent signals are handled first, owners are clear, and low-value noise does not consume the queue.

Priority definitions

P0 — Critical

Business or customer impact is active right now. Drop everything else and escalate immediately.

P1 — High

The issue is time-sensitive and could become critical if it waits. Assign an owner in the same triage pass.

P2 — Normal

Important work that needs action, but not today. Queue it with a deadline and a clear next step.

P3 — Low

Useful but not urgent. Keep it visible, batch it, or close it if it no longer matters.

Triage rules

What good triage looks like

Fast routing

Signals reach the right person without handoff churn.

Visible priorities

Everyone can tell what matters now and why.

Less backlog drag

Noise gets pruned before it hides the real work.

Clear escalation

Blocked work is explicit instead of quietly stuck.
